Thermoforming and Prop Armor

Starting this last year I started finding everything I could on building a Thermoforming machine. Basically the machine works by having two important parts. One side heats up plastic.

The other side sucks the plastic down around a form. This allows you to be able to create just about anything you can imagine for your movie out of plastic. If you need space or fantasy armor this is the machine to have.

My book goes into details that I feel are important but I could not find them pointed out when I put mine together. Therefore I had to suffer through alot of trial and error. Maybe I can save you that trouble.

Creating Prop Armor from scratch is a very challenging task. You have to know how to work with alot of different kinds of artistic materials. My book gives you tips to save you headaches on working with these different materials that are needed to mold and shape Prop Armor. I used to think it was something everyone knew about until one of my students told me he nearly burnt his house down. I thought he knew you never bake oil clay in your oven. I work with Art materials all the time.

I hope I can save you alot of headaches, pain and money. If you want to make molds for your Thermoforming Machine you first have to sculpt the molds. This book will be useful in helping you to find the right materials and techniques to get started easy. You will be creating your space or fantasy armor in no time at all.
